Job Summary:
As a Safety Specialist at Bad Boy Mowers, LLC., you will promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility across our multi-shift manufacturing facility. You will work collaboratively with managers, supervisors, and employees to drive safety and environmental initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and continuous improvement in safety metrics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support safety and environmental improvement initiatives across all shifts.
- Partner with managers, supervisors, and employees to ensure adherence to safety protocols and environmental standards.
- Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and job hazard analyses to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Provide training, coaching, and resources to enhance employee awareness and engagement in safety practices.
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to safety and environmental compliance, working to improve these metrics continuously.
- Assist in incident investigations and recommend preventative measures to avoid recurrence.
- Stay updated with safety regulations and best practices, incorporating them into company policies and procedures.
- Support emergency response planning and training exercises.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- 1 to 3 years of experience in a safety role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Ability to work across multiple shifts, with flexibility to adapt to the needs of a dynamic production schedule.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to build effective partnerships with managers, supervisors, and employees.
- Proven ability to take on new responsibilities and implement improvements that drive continuous progress in safety KPIs and compliance.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards is preferred.
