What are the responsibilities and job description for the CDL Driver- Over the Road position at Bad Boy Transportation, Inc?
Description
Strong knowledge of safety regulations while obeying and following applicable traffic laws. Secure cargo and properly arranging and balancing cargo within the trailer. Follow accident procedures with supervisor. Maintaining a detailed log of working hours in compliance with state and federal regulations. Ensuring any mechanical issues with the vehicle is communicated and corrected before driving. Must be able to interact with clients in a professional manner and arrive at destinations on a scheduled timeframe. Research and plan for traffic, construction and weather delays. Proficient at driving, maneuvering, and parking large vehicles. Candidate should be dependable, hardworking and effective communicator. Able to work nights, weekends, extended hours, and holidays as needed. All trips are returning home with empty trailers.
Requirements
- Must be able to pass a DOT physical exam when required and provide a medical certificate as FMCSA rules and regulations.
- Must be 21 years or older
- Must have 2 years of prior over the road experience.
- Must have a valid and current Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
