Responsibilities & Requirements
As a Team Member at Bad Garden Kitchen, you’ll have the opportunity to master multiple roles within the restaurant. Whether you’re helping craft bold, plant-based creations or connecting with customers, you’ll be part of redefining how people experience plant-based eating. From the register to the grill, from morning prep to evening close, every team member plays an important role and has the opportunity to work in all areas of the restaurant.
Here’s what your role may include:
- Customer Service Excellence: Creating a welcoming and positive experience for every customer, ensuring their needs are met with a smile.
- Kitchen Wizardry: Cooking, maintaining safety & sanitary criteria and ensuring our innovative plant-based meals meet our high-quality standards.
- Expo Mastery: Preparing and serving beverages/desserts, ensuring orders are accurate and delivered promptly, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the beverage/counter station.
- Prep Power: Washing, chopping, and preparing ingredients to keep the kitchen running smoothly.
- Cleaning Machine: Keeping the restaurant clean and organized, including tables, floors, restrooms, and workstations, to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in fast-casual restaurants is a plus but not required.
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Comply with all food safety standards.
- Perform all position duties, including extra responsibilities as needed based on customer volume demands.
- Interact with all team members in a positive and productive manner.
- Assist in weekly inventory tasks.
- Accurately receive daily deliveries and put items away in proper locations.
- Maintain organization in all product storage areas.
- Communicate any product, production, or prep needs to managers promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in all areas of the restaurant, including thorough and timely cleaning of workstations at the close of business.
- Basic math skills and the ability to operate a POS system.
- Flexibility to work a dynamic schedule, including nights and weekends.
- High energy and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- A passion for learning and growing – we’ll help you master every station.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- ServSafe Certification a plus but not required.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 30 per week
