We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Service Manager to oversee our service department and ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise the daily operations of the service department, including scheduling, staffing, and workflow coordination.
- Develop and implement service policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure efficient and effective operations.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of service technicians, providing coaching and guidance as needed to ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to company standards.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, addressing their concerns and resolving issues promptly to ensure complete satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, as well as support existing customer accounts.
- Monitor and manage service department inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels of parts and equipment are maintained.
- Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to optimize department performance.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
- Provide regular updates and reports to upper management on service department performance and initiatives.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and industry-related training to stay current with the latest trends and best practices.
Requirements:
- Service Manager experience, with a focus on service management or a related role.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage a diverse team of technicians.
- Excellent customer service skills and a proven track record of resolving customer issues promptly and professionally.
- Knowledge of truck equipment, body solutions, and industry best practices.
- Computer proficiency.
- Exceptional organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
