Job Description
Badger Branding is a woman-owned, boutique marketing agency in San Luis Obispo focused on giving brands some bite. We are seeking a highly-motivated and creative Social Media Coordinator with experience collecting content and creating reels/videos for social media.
In this role, the Social Media coordinator will support the Social Media Manager in the development, implementation, and monitoring of the organic social media for one of our main accounts, San Luis Obispo Tourism, along with 3-4 other local accounts. Job Responsibilities
- Report to Social Media Manager and meet twice weekly
- Create content for client posts and reels based on materials gathered on location, team brainstorms, and other contributions. This includes performing photography/video sessions throughout San Luis Obispo and surrounding areas and putting together reels and videos
- Clear communication skills – with other team members, throughout the content collection phase, and in content writing. Take constructive criticism and quickly and actively remedy issues
- Personability: Be comfortable in front of the camera; Be able to chat with members of the community; Be friendly and a good spokesperson for the brands; Outgoing
- Attention to detail; meeting deadlines, punctuation, grammar, distinguishing brands and working with brand assets
- Administrative: Attend client meetings/ presentations as needed; Tracking time spent on each task and each client.
Basic Qualifications
- 1-2 years’ experience with social media posting, reel creation.
- Experience with CapCut or other video production software is a plus
- Local to San Luis Obispo County
- Excellent writing, proofreading, editing, and verbal communication skills
- Solid understanding of social media platforms and trends
- Highly detail-oriented with attention to quality
- Able to think creatively and translate ideas into clear, compelling content that connects with the target audience
- Self-starter who can work independently, anticipate needs, and remain flexible in adapting to shifting priorities
- Organized, able to manage multiple concurrent projects, and meet deadlines
- Excellent people skills, highly collaborative, and demonstrates professionalism
- Desire to be part of a hardworking, fun, and values-driven team
Rate
$18 - $20 per hour DOE
