Description
Packaging Operator in Pittsville, WI. Starting $16.50, plus $1,000 sign on bonus.

Schedule:
- 2-2-3 schedule 2 days on 2 days off 3 days on following week 2 days off 2 days on 3 days off
- 6am to 6pm or 6pm to 6am / $2.00 shift differential for night shift

The Packaging Associate prepares products and packaging to meet customer specifications in compliance with the company’s Safe Quality Food Program.
Core Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
- Operation, troubleshooting, and sanitation of Packaging Room and equipment.
- Palletizing product for shipment to customer.
- Collect and manage SDC bits.
- Clean bits’ grates as needed.
- Perform equipment checks at established intervals during processing to ensure product quality and equipment performance.
- Keep production area free of wooden pallets by removing broke down pallets.
- Restock wooden pallets or slip sheets as needed.
- Clear floor of berries to prevent excessively slippery conditions and poor housekeeping.
- Keep packaging room full of the proper production boxes.
- Perform Pre-Operational Inspections.
- Maintain product traceability of finished product on Packaging Traceability log sheet.
- Possess understanding of SDC HACCP Plan CCP1 and properly execute CCP1.
- Conduct weight checks and metal detector checks.
- Change bag inserter roll on bag machine when empty.
- Keep box erector full of boxes.
- Wrap pallets.
- Forklift checks/operation (approved personnel only).
- Run electric pallet jack/regular pallet jack (approved personnel only)
- Provide proper chemical usage.
- Anticipate problem areas of engagements and questions that will arise.
- Must be able to work both independently and as a team member to accomplish various production goals.
- Enter data on production sheets. All required paperwork must be clear, legible, complete, and accurate.
- Assist with any special projects at the request of Management.
Work Environment:
- Hair restraints are required. Earplugs, safety glasses and or other PPE may be required.
- Ability to constantly stand/walk; climb stairs; frequently grip/reach/lift/pull with left or right hand.
- Use of motor skills to safely drive tow motors in tight quarters.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment with temperatures ranging from 55°-95°F.
Required education and experience:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid drivers license
