We are looking for a fire sprinkler installation apprentice to assist with the installation of fire sprinkler systems and related components for compliance with applicable life-safety and fire-safety requirements as mandated by standards and codes, manufacturers requirements, federal, state and local ordinances, customer requirements, and the expectations and requirements of the company. This is a fast paced and demanding opportunity with high visibility within the company. This role reports to the fire sprinkler field supervisor and the company owner.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Perform installation of all types of fire sprinkler systems at the required by the customer or General Contractor in accordance with the requirements and instructions contained in NFPA 13, 14, 20 and all state and local codes
- Must be comfortable with heights, working on ladders or lifts, or in confined spaces
QUALIFICATIONS
- This is an entry-level or trainee role. Must have the willingness to learn and want an excellent career
- Must have the knowledge and ability to understand and operate basic hand tools. In addition, required to learn and use industry specific devices, tools, and software
- Must possess the ability to calculate basic math
- Must currently have a valid U.S. driver's license
- Must be willing to travel throughout Wisconsin
- Must have references.

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Frequent lifting and carrying of equipment, parts, tools, equipment, pipe, and fittings
- Walking, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, and raising hands overhead
- Must be able to successfully lift up to 50 pounds and climb a ladder
- Overtime may be required, and the number of hours may vary based on work location
- Occasionally asked to travel overnight to a customer location
- Driving is required and the amount of time driving may vary
- Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for this position in accordance with safety standards
- May be exposed to all kinds of work environments. Varying work environments from hot to cold temperatures and exposure to dust
