NOW HIRING ASSISTANT AREA MANAGER FOR OHIO

Position Summary:

The Assistant Area Manager provides hands-on leadership support to the management team through training, motivating, and managing operations, and personnel to perform at a high level of productivity while acting as a back-up driver resource with the ability to transport assigned loads as needed.

Under the direction of the Area Manager, this position executes strategic plans and is accountable for the area’s day to day operations. This position ensures that the appropriate infrastructure, systems/processes, and people are fully trained and in place to successfully achieve business objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support, mentor, and motivate team employees.
• Assist with managing safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
• Collaborate with all support teams including Safety, Recruiting, and Human Resources to develop plans to meet business objectives.
• Provide management with regular feedback and updates as appropriate.
• Communicate Company guidelines and procedures to support employees in functional tasks and to ensure that safety, and services are delivered consistently.
• Work a flexible schedule (weekends and/or overnight shifts) as needed.
• Additional responsibilities may be added as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree and/or 5 years of equivalent crude oil industry work experience.
• Knowledge of DOT policies and procedures.
• Strong written and oral communication, conflict resolution and decision-making skills.
• Proficient in appropriate office productivity software (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.
• Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification.
• Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position.
• Current CDL and Hazmat, and Tanker Endorsements.
• Must be reliable and have a positive attitude.

• Ability to see, hear, and perform the duty requirements of the position.
• Ability to talk on the phone and sit at a desk in front of a computer for long periods of time.
• Ability to effectively work in both an office environment and in the field as needed.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 60lbs at a time during assigned shifts.
