About This Job


Air and Space Force Solutions, a business unit within BAE Systems, has an opening at our Hill Air Force Base, Utah location for a junior-level JWICS Cyber Security Analyst. The selected candidate will join our Information Services team and have an important role in supporting our mission of Strategic Deterrence through continual improvement and innovation. The position will have the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Ensuring certification and accreditation (C&A) documentation and implementation efforts meet AFI 17-101, JSIG, and Risk Management Framework (RMF) standards for DoD Information Technology
  • Validating all aspects of RMF are implemented for all assets connected, or to be added, to the local network and that they are accepted and approved by the appropriate Designated Approving Authorities (DAAs)
  • Evaluating operational readiness of communications equipment, network devices, sensors, intrusion detection and related support equipment. Manages and performs Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO) and cyber functions (DoDIN operations)
  • Coordinating requirements with the responsible personnel and tracking deadlines for completing required actions
  • Reporting virus problems in accordance with established procedures
  • Ensuring the confidentiality, integrity and availability of systems and networks by planning, analyzing, developing, and implementing information systems security programs, policies, procedures, and tools.
  • Serving in a supporting role advising, posturing, preparing and auditing the organization for unit self-inspection program, compliance Inspections, and accreditations
  • Coordinating with Information System Security Managers at the base and MAJCOM-level to verify or clarify information pertinent to cybersecurity/information assurance procedures

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Education and Experience Required for This Position:

  • HS Diploma and 4 years of related experience, or
  • BS/BA degree with 0 years of related experience, or
  • MS/MA degree with 0 years of related experience
  • Specific training and education in Cybersecurity
  • Understanding of Cybersecurity methodologies, tools, and systems
  • Proven capacity to identify vulnerabilities and create impactful mitigation plans
  • Comfortable working independently to manage projects and tasks to completion
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Exceptional troubleshooter with experience resolving complex technical issues



Certification Requirement


The applicant must meet DoD 8570.01-M IAM Level I or higher certification requirements upon hire date.



Clearance Requirement


The applicant must have a fully adjudicated Top Secret clearance upon hire date.



Citizenship Requirement


Pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $52080 - $88535

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
