BAE Systems is seeking a Process Safety Management (PSM) Engineer to support at its Radford, Virginia site. In this role as a PSM Engineer, you will provide technical support for overseeing Process Safety Management’s "14 Elements," including process hazard analysis, contractor training, hot work permits, audits, etc. As the PSM Engineer, you will manage the process from the identification of problems to the implementation of multi-discipline solutions and programs. You'll be charged in providing technical and regulatory expertise to maintain OSHA PSM compliance through support and program assistance for BAE Systems Operations at the Radford Army Ammunition Plant. You'll provide safety guidance, leadership, ensure facility compliance with corporate safety standards, implement safety directives, improve safety performance, and ensure facility safety policies and procedures are aligned with governmental regulations.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering and / or Environmental Health and Safety field, and four years of related experience;
- Proven Process Safety Management (PSM) regulatory knowledge;
- Well versed in a PSM program's 14 elements with particular experience in incident investigations and process hazards analysis;
- Experience implementing PSM programs;
- Highly effective communications skills (written, verbal, presentations);
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite and industry related software applications;
- Experience developing training materials;
- Able to provide training in both classroom settings and on the plant floor.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range : $86460 - $146982

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to : business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
