Job Description BAE Systems in Rome, NY is seeking a motivated and experienced Systems Administrator to join a cross-functional team providing test and demonstration support to our Air Force customer. The qualified candidate will possess a breadth of experience including networking, virtualization technologies, software installation and configuration, and some scripting.
The selected candidate will work with a team of engineers to review and define configurations, create automation scripts to deploy and configure network assets, review and deploy software applications, and provide support for testing, demonstration, and technical interchange meetings. Related activities may include troubleshooting, patching, hardening, and configuration management.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Networking, or related
- Experience with virtualization technologies – VMWare, Proxmox, XCP-ng
- Experience Scripting – PowerShell, VB, Python, Ansible, Bash
- Familiarity with Windows and Linux Environments
- Independent work ethic
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range : $57866 - $75000
Please note : This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to : business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
