BAE Systems is seeking a Senior Principal Systems Engineer to lead test activities for the APKWS Aviation Weapons Portfolio. The successful candidate will perform technical planning, system integration, and verification/validation tasks. They will also support the development of verifiable requirements and compliance matrix files.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform technical planning, system integration, and verification/validation tasks
- Support the development of verifiable requirements and compliance matrix files
- Generate overall system test strategies and associated documentation
- Manage activities associated with environmental qualification testing
- Manage automated testing with regard to precision munitions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with Semi-Active Laser Systems
- Understanding and background in RF/EO/IR systems architecture, modeling, design, and test for guidance and navigation systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in DASAL Technology and Laser Guided Munitions
- Familiarity with Aeronautical properties and Computational Fluid Dynamics
- Ability to Coordinate vendors and teams in development of passive/active sensor systems for test/evaluation
Pay Information
$126,610 - $215,270 per year
