Job Description
PIM Field Service Tech V in the Fort Hood Deprocessing Yard.
- Assembles, installs, tests, maintains, troubleshoots, repairs, and ensures products are in compliance with, production, customer and contractual requirements.
- Conducts routine tests and inspections on ordnance equipment and prepares preliminary reports and/or documentation. Sets up and operates equipment and records data.
- May lead small field service teams in support deprocessing and fielding.
- Extracts and analyzes a variety of basic engineering data. Applies conventional engineering practices to develop or prepares schematics, parts lists, or make recommendations regarding these items.
- Provides field material review/assessments and coordinates special tooling and parts requirements. May participate in identifying qualified suppliers for field service activities.
- May interface with customers in technical matters.
- Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with safety objectives and policies.
- Share responsibility of self-development with immediate supervisor.
- Must be able to obtain / qualify for a USG CAC card to access US Military Installations and work sites.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Education and Experience:
High School Graduate.
Seven years’ of maintenance experience on Bradley Fighting Vehicle platforms.
Three years’ of deprocessing and / or fielding experience with Bradley Fighting Vehicle platforms.
Required Skills
Subject Matter Expert on the following BFV vehicle platforms:
M2A2 ODS-SA
M2A3
M7A3 BFISTS
M2A4
M7A4 BFISTS w/FS3
Three years’ experience with OEM deprocessing and / or fielding the Bradley Fighting Vehicles.
Ability to work from engineer drawings, technical manuals, and schematics.
Detailed knowledge of the US Army Maintenance System.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Proficiency with computers and word processing / spreadsheet applications and software.
Ability to research, gather and analyze technical information.
Ability to deal effectively with personnel at all levels, inside and outside of the organization.
Expert level of analytical ability to collect and analyze data from multiple sources including mechanical and electrical problems as well as test and troubleshoot platforms and systems.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Veteran with 7 years’ experience on the Bradley Fighting Vehicle platforms.
- Proficiency with email and calendar applications and software.
- Working knowledge of DSETS and / or other test equipment.
- Ability to integrate information from a variety of sources and correspondence or presentation material or reports
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $53726 - $91354
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
