Job Description
This individual will report under the Finance Department and serve in a leadership position as the business partner to the Ship Repair Program Management team. This position shall serve as the lead for the Program Finance team. This analyst shall allocate costs and prepare reports that maintain the company's cost accounting system. Ensure that costs are allocated according to established procedures. Investigate cost structures for new and existing areas of the company. Price new services or products by developing unit costs and projecting expenses. Prepares reports that compare budgets with actual expenses. May recommend, design, or develop revisions to the cost accounting system. Lead training and development exercises with junior analysts.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with program managers and cross-functional partners.
- Act in a leadership capacity and guide team of team of junior analysts.
- Participate and manage month-end financial reporting activities across multiple programs.
- Forecast financial metrics, develop program baselines, and manage Estimates-at-Complete (EACs).
- Manage and present financial data to internal and external customers, including variance analysis and forecasts.
- Supporting weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting requirements both internally and externally as required.
- Carry out miscellaneous financial analysis as required and continually assess and improving financial reporting processes to enhance efficiencies.
- Hybrid work arrangement- in office Mon/Tues/Wed.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or related degree with 6 years work or equivalent experience.
- Experience in a leadership position and ability to develop a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
- Experience in program finance and/or other finance functional disciplines particularly in the management of large government acquisition contracts.
- Aptitude in project forecasting and analysis, particularly in a US Defense environment.
- Demonstrated problem solving and in-depth analytical skills.
- Ability to communicate and present financial data to other functions in an accurate, concise, and understandable manner.
- Strong interpersonal skills to influence diverse work teams.
- Ability to prioritize and self-manage a multi-tasked workload in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to make decisions with sound judgment while complying with policies and procedures.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Possesses finance experience in the aerospace/defense industry.
- Familiarity with Earned Value Management System (EVMS).
- Experience in Deltek, Cost Point, SAP, or other equivalent accounting software.
- Experience with Hyperion and Hyperion Financial Management (HFM).
- Experience with Cobra, MPM, or other equivalent software a plus.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $99410 - $168997
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
