BAE Systems in Westminster, CO is looking to hire a Security Specialist to support the Program Security Consolidated Persec- ensuring the requirements of the National Industrial Security Program Manual (NISPOM) and other applicable manuals as implemented and compliance is maintained. Support the SMS PERSEC team with clearance processing, SMS Visitor Control, and Special Programs across the growing sector. What You’ll Do:
- Acquire, review, and process initial clearances to completion.
- Conduct 5-year clearance reinvestigations, reinstatements, and clearance upgrades.
- Process SMS New Hires and Terminations using SIMS/DISS databases.
- Support and process Personnel Security Questionnaires, Foreign Travel, and reporting as per Special Program Requirements.
- Maintain SMS SIMS and DISS databases.
- Maintain Persec Folders and SharePoint databases.
- Provide/maintain monthly and quarterly metrics.
- Maintain continuity plans relative to the PERSEC office.
- Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Perform other duties as necessary.

- Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree plus 2 or more years related experience.
- Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master’s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
- A current, active Secret security clearance is required with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI.
- Experience with PC and Microsoft Office Software, good writing skills.
- Working knowledge of SIMS, DISS, EQIP EAPP.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience providing briefings or public speaking.
- Decision Making and reasoning skills.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $66084 - $112343
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
