Specific Responsibilities Include:
· Lead and grow a best-in-class team of systems engineers that deliver excellent results
· Cultivate engineering and operational excellence through best practices, agile practices, metrics and continuous learning
· Partner with the other business area leaders to ensure business objectives and strategy are achieved
· Work closely with the Product Line Engineering Leads and Discipline Managers to staff near term project demand while defining and executing robust talent management plans
· Attract, retain, and develop a healthy pipeline of future technical leaders and engineering talent across the organization to support the business needs
· Identify, maintain, and develop key skills required to meet business objectives in support of multi-year strategy
· Successfully drive continuous process improvement initiatives to increase efficiencies, meet cost takeout objectives, support execution needs, promote agility and ensure adoption within the organization
· Establish goals and standards of performance, create budgets, staffing plans, and short and long-term strategic roadmaps/plans
· Administer performance, compensation, and recognition programs in alignment with business needs, company values, and budgets
· Understand industry trends and best practices to ensure BAE Systems develops and maintains the capabilities required to provide technical discriminators
· Provide technical leadership, leverage and apply modern Systems development technologies (MBSE, Cloud computing, etc), and lead enterprise wide initiatives
· Perform duties as assigned to support shifting business dynamics

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering with a minimum of 12 years of engineering management experience
- Broad understanding of systems engineering
- Proven performance management, mentoring, coaching and communication skills
- Proven track record of increasing responsibilities in managing organizations of significant complexities, including managing development projects through all aspects of the systems engineering process from requirements thru IV&V, production, and sustainment
- Must be able to obtain Top Secret Clearance
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Proven ability to lead a dynamic organization across multiple sites
- Understanding of the DoD product development lifecycle
- Knowledge of and experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
- Proven ability to lead Agile, DevSecOps and digital transformation initiatives
- Active Secret or higher clearance
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $169630 - $288370
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
