Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Design Specialist to join our team at BAE Systems. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for designing complex printed circuit boards with digital, analog, RF, power circuits, and interconnect applications.
The ideal candidate will have at least 4-10 years of hands-on experience in PCB design, proficiency in Cadence software, and strong communication skills. They will also have the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a hybrid work format.
In this role, you will:
- Design moderate to complex printed circuit board layouts with digital, analog, RF, power circuits, and interconnect applications.
- Participate in design reviews and interface with electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, and process engineers to ensure proto-type and production quality printed circuit boards meet BAE Systems standards and procedures.
- Create fabrication and assembly drawings, parts lists, and incorporate changes to existing design documentation.
- Generate all output files required for the manufacture of the board and assembly.
- Work closely with checkers, various engineering disciplines, designers, and technical leads to provide feedback and ensure functionality and manufacturability of PCB designs.
- Suggest options when faced with challenging PCB design situations and resolve non-standard problems.
