Strategic Operations - High School Internship

Job Description
Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site.
This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

With your computer skills, you will assist with the analysis of our RFID system behavior by monitoring health indicators, reading log files, and documenting any findings. The system is comprised of a multitude of Linux computers, as well as RFID readers. Log files exist on all that need to be reviewed when system issues arise.

We also are looking for software application development on our handheld RFID scanner, tools, and desktop system health monitor. Our handheld scanner runs under Android and comes with a software development kit. Some of our tools are written in Visual Basic as macros automating spreadsheet operations. Our desktop application is written in Python.

We are also in need of computer networking help, to ensure the system behaves correctly on the network, and new equipment can be added to communicate with the necessary devices.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel
• Understanding of basic software programming constructs
• Highly motivated
• Work well both independently and in a team environment
• Current enrollment in a high school program

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $35090 - $47410

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

Temporary employees generally are not eligible for BAE Systems benefits, but can elect to participate in the 401(k) savings plan. Temporary employees working 20 hours per week are eligible for medical benefits, the employee assistance program, and business travel accident insurance.
