Description:
- Analyze and work with COBOL code, VSAM, JCL, TSO/ISPF, XPEDITER, FileAid, Changeman, and CICS to maintain and improve business systems.
- Work in an Agile/Scrum environment, using tools like VersionOne to track progress.
- Use IT Service Management tools like ServiceNow to manage tasks and incidents.
- Write and improve SQL queries and PL/SQL in a DB2 database environment.
- Understand and work with network firewalls and security certificates to keep data and systems secure.
- Analyze customer needs and design technical solutions that meet those needs.
- Help manage projects and ensure they are completed on time and within scope.
- Lead and mentor junior developers to help them grow in their roles.
Requirements:
- At least 3-5 years of experience with Mainframe DB2, COBOL, and VSAM software development.
- Familiarity with mainframe tools such as JCL, TSO/ISPF, XPEDITER, FileAid, Changeman, and CICS.
- Experience with writing and tuning SQL and PL/SQL queries in DB2.
- Understanding of network security, including firewalls and security certificates.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
- If you don’t have a degree, at least 4 additional years of relevant experience is required.
