Summary
As a Warehouse Associate at Baer's Furniture, you will be an integral part of our operations team, ensuring the efficient handling of furniture products within our distribution center. This role is vital in supporting our mission to provide high-quality furniture while maintaining excellent customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload furniture products from delivery trucks and containers.
- Unpacking of items received from main warehouse and staging in designated areas throughout the store
- Assisting in the moving of furniture as needed
- Wrapping furniture pieces for transportPerforming a variety of cleaning activities, such as dusting, polishing, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, etc.
- Ensuring all furniture fixtures and accessories are clean and neat according to standards
- Notify Manager of any issues or repairs needed
- Collecting and disposing of trash and recyclables
- Handle materials with care to prevent damage during transportation.
- Perform heavy lifting as required to move furniture and equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Adhere to safety protocols, including OSHA regulations, while performing all tasks.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in warehouse operations or similar roles preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 75 lbs) consistently throughout the shift.
- Familiarity with materials handling and shipping/receiving processes.
- Basic knowledge of operating heavy equipment is a plus but not required.
- Strong attention to detail for accurate order picking and inventory management.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Understanding of safety protocols related to warehouse operations.
