What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial Baker/Bagel maker position at Bagel Dock Express?
Overview
We are seeking a hard working, reliable, task oriented individual. As a Baker, you will play a crucial role in our kitchen, ensuring that all bagels meet our high standards of quality, taste and consistency. MUST be able to lift 50-75 lbs continuously. This is commercial baking .
Duties
- Prepare and bake a variety of bagels, and other baked goods according to established recipes.
- Measure and mix ingredients accurately to ensure consistency in flavor and texture.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and other baking tools safely and efficiently.
- Package finished products for sale or distribution while maintaining proper food handling practices.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring ingredient levels and placing orders as necessary.
Qualifications
- Reliable.
- Physical ability to work with, lift and make dough.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely production of baked goods.
- A creative mindset with the ability to innovate new pastry designs or flavors is a plus.
- Work early morning hours 3am-10am.
