We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Line Cook to join our dynamic team and help us deliver an exceptional culinary experience.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bagel Baker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in baking, a deep appreciation for artisanal methods, and a commitment to producing high-quality bagels. You’ll play a critical role in our kitchen, preparing dough, boiling, and baking bagels to perfection while ensuring consistency and quality every day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and mix dough according to specific recipes and techniques.
- Operate bagel portioner and former, shape, and proof bagels with precision and attention to detail.
- Boil and bake bagels, maintaining consistent quality and texture.
- Monitor baking equipment to ensure proper temperatures and performance.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards.
- Manage inventory of baking ingredients, ensuring sufficient supplies are available.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to meet daily production goals.
- Experiment with and contribute to new flavors and specialty items.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a baker, preferably in a bagel or bread-focused kitchen.
- Strong understanding of dough preparation, proofing, and baking processes.
- Ability to work early mornings and in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and a passion for creating high-quality baked goods.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in a warm environment.
- Team player with excellent time management skills --- Drivers License a plus.
