What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Technician - Solar QA/QC and Environmental Support position at BAI Group, LLC?
A growing solar development and environmental consulting firm based in State College, PA is seeking a full-time Field Technician to support both our renewable energy and civil/environmental operations.
This position is primarily field-based with responsibilities including:
- QA/QC support and construction observation on solar project sites
- Environmental field sampling for civil engineering projects
- General field data collection and site documentation
Some office-based work will also be required, including:
- Assisting with the preparation of permits, technical reports, and data summaries
- Supporting QA documentation and general administrative tasks
The role involves overnight travel, overtime, and occasional weekend work.
Preferred but not required:
- Troxler Certification
- 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER
- NICET certification
- Experience with solar construction inspection or environmental sampling
We are willing to provide training for the right candidate. Applicants should be organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable using basic computer tools (Word, Excel, etc.).
