We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Insurance/Billing Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for handling insurance claims, billing processes, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate will have experience in eyecare insurance and billing systems, strong organizational skills, and a customer-focused attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and verify patient insurance information and coverage.
- Process insurance claims and submit to appropriate insurance carriers.
- Follow up with insurance companies on unpaid or denied claims.
- Resolve discrepancies and billing issues with insurance companies and patients.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of claims to reduce billing errors.
- Communicate with patients regarding their insurance coverage, outstanding balances, and payment options.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of billing codes, insurance policies, and regulations.
- Generate and process patient invoices and payment statements.
- Assist with the preparation of financial reports and audits.
- Work to ensure proper coding and documentation for insurance claims.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
