Position Summary

A HPU Technician I accurately and efficiently builds and assembles standard hydraulic power units.

Position Responsibilities

A HPU Technician I would be responsible for but not limited to the following:

  • Builds and assembles standard hydraulic power units
  • Cuts and crimps hydraulic hoses
  • Performs quality checks throughout the course of assembly
  • Pulls parts and components from inventory
  • Performs tests on completed power units
  • Stocks/restocks product for power unit department
  • Maintains a clean and uncluttered workspace while following safety and security policies and procedures
  • Reports any unsafe or potentially unsafe work conditions to the appropriate individual

Position Requirements

  • High School diploma/GED
  • At least one year of work-related experience
  • At least one year of mechanical experience preferred

Essential Job Functions

  • Stands for prolonged periods of time with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Performs repetitive motion work including hands, arms and wrists 100% of the time with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Tolerates odors, fumes and airborne particles from machines and chemicals with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Tolerates various levels of heat with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Tolerates moderate to loud noise levels with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Lifts up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Ability to walk throughout a large facility with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Works well with others
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends based on business needs
  • Follows all safety practices and guidelines while working including keeping work area clean and free of safety hazards
  • Ability to select and use appropriate equipment, supplies and tools



The shift is Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm.
