The ideal candidate will support business strategies by engaging in accurate and detailed product costing to inform, educate and advise. We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst/Senior Financial Analyst to join our Finance Team. The ideal candidate will be collaborative and team-oriented to be effective in influencing results and understanding business operations
Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate costing methods are utilized, and data/information is correct.
- Prepare unit costing, analysis, recommendations and communicate with management in order to make sound business decisions.
- Perform price analysis and develop insights and analytics into pricing performance and outlook.
- Articulate results of financial analysis, influence business thinking, and help ensure business results are attained.
- Help define and provide new insights into financial processes in order to streamline activities and drive new/current analytics that support future growth of the company.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve business processes, pricing, margins, and cash flow.
- Collaborate with IT/IS to retrieve and organize data from multiple data sources to create reporting. Create automated processes where applicable for data extraction, report processing and distribution.
- Trend analysis of positive and negative activities’ effects on business operations.
- Model future scenarios tied to company strategies.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required (master’s degree preferred).
- Five to Seven (5-7) years’ experience in a company setting; nursery experience preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of mathematics, statistics, and financial guidelines.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, ERP software, Access, Power BI.
- Strong financial analysis skills, and excellent attention to detail
- Ability to prepare financial reports and give recommendations based on available data.
- Ability to perform risk and security assessments.
- Excellent communication, including writing, speaking and active listening.
- Able to travel to visit other locations, as needed.
