Job Description: Our team is looking for someone detail-oriented and reliable to join our Award Winning Produce Team. The ideal candidate's responsibility will be to receive, inspect, and warehouse produce, ensuring that all products meet our quality standards. This role is crucial in maintaining the freshness and availability of our produce for our customers. The ability to organize a cooler using the FIFO method is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming produce shipments for quality and accuracy.
- Unload trucks and transport produce to the appropriate storage areas.
- Maintain organized and clean storage areas, ensuring proper rotation of stock.
- Monitor inventory levels and report any discrepancies or shortages.
- Assist with stocking shelves and displays as needed.
- Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in produce handling or a similar role is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to inspect produce for quality.
- Ability to lift and move heavy boxes and crates.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
- Knowledge of produce varieties and storage requirements is a plus.
