PRIVATE CREDIT GROUP
Bain Capital Credit’s Private Credit Group evaluates investment opportunities across the spectrum in the middle market, or typically companies with $10-150M of EBITDA located in North America, Europe and Asia Pacific. With a dedicated global team of over 35 investment professionals, we can lead investments across the capital structure in senior secured first lien, second lien and unitranche loans, subordinated debt, and preferred or common equity co-investments. Our dedicated global team affords us the ability to diligence the most complex situations and provide private capital to those companies. Bain Capital Private Credit Group assets under management is approximately $16 Billion.

Key Responsibilities
- There are multiple private draw down funds in various jurisdictions including USA, Europe, Australia & Asia. The funds are of different strategy including draw down funds, evergreen funds, Separate Managed Accounts. The Director will be responsible for overseeing these funds, team and will report to Amit Joshi, CFO of Private Credit. The person will be responsible for overseeing the finance and accounting functions and will coordinate with various stakeholders both internally and externally and will include:
- Overall Ownership of Private Funds: Lead and manage financial reporting, year-end audits, and quarterly reporting for private funds.
- Investor Relations: Collaborate with the Investor Product Team to prepare quarterly investor letters, ensuring timely completion and accuracy.
- Team Management: Oversee the internal operations and finance team, as well as manage relationships with third-party administrators.
- Fund Review and Compliance: Conduct thorough reviews of funds across various jurisdictions, working closely with the Tax and Compliance teams to address any tax or compliance implications.
- Capital and Fees Oversight: Review capital allocation, incentive fees, and fund NAV, ensuring that the NAV package is accurate and complete.
- Expense Management: Supervise and approve fund expenses and invoices, maintaining financial integrity and accountability.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with the executive team to evaluate and enhance processes and systems, driving operational efficiency.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with auditors, administrators, and custodians to ensure that all fund-related aspects are handled correctly and professionally.
- Leadership and Development: Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team, promoting a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including Legal, Tax, Investor Relations, and Operations, to ensure comprehensive fund management.

- We are looking for a candidate with a proven track record in private credit and a deep understanding of the industry dynamics.
- 11 years total experience in finance roles of increasing responsibility and scope at world-class organizations with fund accounting, tax, operations, controls, and financial management knowledge.
- Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and communication skills are required.
- Experience building, improving, and leading finance teams is preferred. Strong relationship management skills are desired.
- Experience in asset management with direct lending and Mezz loan strategies and exposure to various jurisdictions is preferred.
- Top academic (i.e., BS or BA from a well-regarded institution) as well as professional credentials including an MBA, CFA, or CPA are preferred.
