INDUSTRY TEAM OVERVIEW
Bain Capital Credit’s US industry team covers over 16 sectors. Investment professionals apply their industry-specific knowledge and networks to identify and evaluate investment opportunities across the capital structure and for all Bain Capital Credit funds and accounts. Team members spend their time reviewing investment opportunities and selecting securities, conducting due diligence, preparing investment recommendations, and monitoring the universe of names they follow. Industry team members interact regularly with the Credit Committee, Portfolio Management teams, and Trading Desk to communicate and refine their recommendations.
We are looking for a Vice President or Director to join the Credit team. This individual will be based in our Boston office.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
- Lead a team that analyzes, evaluates, and monitors investments across our strategies.
- Conceive and execute in-depth industry, competitive, and financial analyses in order to formulate and test differential investment hypotheses.
- Perform company and industry research : visit company management, do field research (with customers, suppliers, and others likely to have unique insight into a company’s or industry’s fundamentals), and attend appropriate industry / Wall Street conferences.
- Make proactive buy / sell recommendations and communicate investment views effectively with appropriate team members.
- Identify and evaluate attractive investment ideas, primarily in the public markets, but also selective private market investments.
- Manage the workload, responsibilities, and development of analysts / associates.
