Essential Duties and Responsibilities : (Other duties may be assigned)
Assist the Cloud Engineer by Monitoring and maintaining servers, software, network hardware and their related components, automating routine tasks and eliminating manual processes wherever possible.
- Assist the Cloud Engineer by performing related tasks on projects pertaining to Information Technology initiatives on the Operations side.
- Acts as an escalation point (L3) for our internal Help Desk.
- Fill in as back up for the Cloud Engineer vacations and On Call schedule as needed.
- Field and complete incoming tier 3 requests from the Help Desk and Dev OPS teams.
- Contribute to IT projects related to security, compliance efforts, systems administration & employee experience.
- Act as the liaison between the Help Desk, Business Intelligence and Development Operations Teams.
- Maintain and contribute to the company's knowledge base by documenting processes and the solutions to common support requests.
- Researches, recommends and implements enhancements to current information systems and processes with the assistance of the Cloud Engineer.
- Assist with escalated Security alerts.
- Moves and installs computer and network equipment as needed.
- Perform on call rotation for monitoring servers and review security alerts after hours.
- Assist with technical administration and configuration management support within an Azure cloud-based environment and provide documentation for internal reference of best-practices.
- Field and complete incoming tier 3 requests or IT Operation requests.
- Administer company systems and developer tools as part of regular day-to-day operations.
- Ability to Configure Azure Cloud Management policies to control user access, session behavior, and performance settings.
- Maintain and monitor security Tools such as Cisco Umbrella, Duo, Meraki MDM, SentinelOne and Blumira SIEM.
- Assist the Cloud Engineer with Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity : work with the security Officer to develop and maintain the current company policies.
- Configure and deploy security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection / prevention systems, antivirus, and encryption solutions.
- Maintain and contribute to the company's knowledge base by documenting processes and the solutions to common support requests.
- Additional responsibilities related to IT operations as required by the business.
