The Baird IT Operations team is looking for an energetic individual that enjoys problem-solving and making a difference as we deliver excellent service today and leverage Cloud and Next-Generation database technologies going forward. We are looking for an articulate professional with integrity, focus, and a clear determination to make things better every day.
As a Database Administrator, you will :
- Investigate and learn new and emerging database technologies (e.g. Azure data technologies) with an eye to selecting and implementing the right solution for project teams and the business.
- Build, configure, and administer new database servers, databases, objects, and ETL as required to support the business.
- Monitor current databases and database servers for performance, stability, and scalability.
- Develop and implement improvement plans for performance and standards
- Communicates and collaborates with project delivery teams to ensure implementation of best practices and continuous improvement.
- Mentor delivery teams on best practices
- Ability to work in a 24x7 support environment, participate in an on-call rotation, and have experience responding to client needs as raised in Service Desk tickets.
