As we continue to grow and add top talent to the Baird family of IT associates, we are currently seeking an IT Strategy and Transformation Analyst.
The IT Strategy and Transformation function is responsible for the design, development, communication, and adoption of our technology strategy and plays an active role in our major IT transformation efforts. The IT Strategy and Transformation Analyst supports the team in defining and driving our technology strategy across the firm. The analyst role will perform quantitative and qualitative research and data analysis and will support strategic efforts around potential technology initiatives at Baird. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in IT strategy or corporate strategy (or a similar function), exceptional communication skills (both verbal and written), intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, and the drive/hunger to add value to the work beyond the basic expectations of the role.
This role involves a hybrid working arrangement, with a mix of in-office (at least 3 days per week) at our headquarters in Milwaukee, WI and remote work. This is important to foster relationships and build consensus across leaders and teams.

As An IT Strategy And Transformation Analyst, You Will
- Conduct analysis, research, and critical thinking to support IT Strategy & Transformation at Baird
- Lead communications and change management efforts to increase visibility and drive adoption of important Baird technology initiatives
- Partner with senior IT leaders to drive strategic projects in their IT areas – e.g., current state/future state/gap analysis, people/process/technology, strategic roadmaps, resource planning, scorecards/executive reporting
- Lead focus groups, conduct stakeholder interviews, and synthesize key takeaways
- Lead quantitative data analysis and excel modeling
- Support and drive strategic analyses around potential technology initiatives at Baird
- Support and drive content creation for bi-monthly IT Steering Committee meetings with senior Baird leaders
- Participate in periodic review of emerging/disruptive technology trends and applicability to Baird’s businesses
- Ability to work on critical, enterprise-impacting projects with IT teams and leaders
- Ability to interface across the IT department and with stakeholders outside of IT
- Critical projects will touch a variety of teams and leaders, offering opportunities to influence and drive significant business outcomes
- Independence and flexibility in how to do the work. We do not require certain methodologies, and team members have significant leeway to leverage tools and processes to achieve success

- A Bachelor’s degree in an analytical discipline (e.g., business, economics, statistics, mathematics) or technology discipline (e.g., computer science, MIS)
- Prior experience in IT strategy or corporate strategy (or a similar function)
- MBA helpful but not required

- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills and approaches
- Exceptional Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel skills (Power BI knowledge would also be valuable)
- Business maturity, strong presence, and advanced written and verbal communication skills (including storyline development for business presentations and executive-level communications)
- Experience conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis to support strategic discussions
- Experience driving change management efforts and conducting interviews/focus groups
- Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills, and the ability to influence without authority
- Flexibility to react positively to changes given the pace and growth of our business

- Patience and strong listening skills to support finding creative solutions to complex problems
