Responsibilities: - Prepare and bake a wide range of pastries, cakes, and desserts according to recipes and quality standards - Decorate pastries using various techniques, such as piping, glazing, and icing - Ensure proper food safety and sanitation practices are followed at all times - Collaborate with the kitchen Chef to coordinate pastry production for daily service and special events - Assist in inventory management by monitoring ingredient levels and placing orders as needed - Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment - Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding food preparation, presentation, and portion control - Provide excellent customer service by assisting with customer inquiries and special requests
Qualifications: - Previous experience working in a professional kitchen or bakery setting - Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, including baking, decorating, and plating - Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail - Excellent time management skills to meet production deadlines - Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with the kitchen team - Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required Preferred Skills: - Culinary degree or certification in pastry arts or a related field - Experience in cake decorating or specialty pastry creations - Knowledge of the food industry trends and innovations We offer competitive pay based on experience.
