- Develop, implement and support the administration of global compensation policies, programs and philosophy aligned with business objectives.
- Manage the global job architecture, ensuring a consistent methodology for job evaluation and alignment across geographies.
- Develop recommendations and implement global salary structures to ensure market competitiveness.
- Analyze market trends and internal data to recommend and implement enhancements to compensation programs ensuring competitiveness and effectiveness.
- Assist in development of compliant job descriptions.
- Review requests for new or revised job classifications to determine appropriate market and internal alignment of salary grade assignments.
- Lead market analysis of jobs to determine competitive positioning of the organization's pay programs, including base pay and short- and long-term incentive pay.
- Manage the compensation survey life cycle including global and regional survey participation.
- Provide input to global pay planning and salary budget processes.
- Develop and implement communication and training strategies to ensure understanding of the company’s compensation program and philosophy for current managers and associates including those acquired through M&A.
- Participate in and provide recommendations as part of the M&A HR due diligence process regarding job alignment, compensation plans and incentive plans.
- Develop recommendations on short term or long-term incentive compensation plans, bonus plans, sales compensation and/or executive compensation.
- Recommend solutions to resolve complex compensation-related issues.
- Identify and improve compensation process efficiencies and ensures data integrity within Payfactors, the compensation survey management system.
- Review and ensure compensation programs are compliant with all federal/state/local regulations, including FLSA and statutory requirements.
- Research proposed statutory requirements governing compensation administration and identifies gaps or areas needing additional research.
- Partner and collaborate with human resources, finance, legal and business leaders to ensure governance in compensation programs.
- Manage compensation survey provider relationships including annual renewal process.
- Bachelor’s Degree required. Advanced Degree and/or Certified Comp Professional (CCP) certification preferred.
- 15 years’ relevant experience. Experience with M&A, Incentive Plan Design and Payfactors a plus.
- Works independently to meet deadlines.
- Expertise in Excel, PowerPoint and compensation survey management systems.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, analytical thinking and collaboration skills.
- Ability to effectively present ideas and recommendations to all organizational levels, both verbally and in writing.
- Grasps complexities and connections among problems or issues, able to prioritize solutions.
- Ability to seek out and analyze data from a variety of sources to support decisions and align key stakeholders.
- Systems thinker with a proactive approach, anticipates problems before they arise.
- Ability to create solutions using innovative methods and critical thinking skills.
- Proven ability to interpret complex data and market trends to inform strategic decision-making.
- Remote role with the ability to travel as needed.
