Summary
Bakelite is seeking a PF1 Flaker at our Louisville, KY manufacturing facility. PF1 Flakers perform procedures and tasks required for chemical processes. If you are looking for a job with great benefits, an amazing culture and fantastic coworkers, this may be the job for you!Primary Responsibilities
Monitor, package, mix chemicals used in production processes.
Operate multiple process equipment (i.e. reactors, blenders, powder operations, belts, columns, etc.).
Perform inventory and cycle count activities.
Perform necessary inspections.
Perform in-process and final product testing.
Other Responsibilities
Perform simple mechanical troubleshooting.
Maintain safe and clean work environment.
Load finished products to tank trucks, totes, and drums.
Perform other tasks as required.
Must Have Experience
High School diploma or equivalent.
2 years chemical plant experience.
Must be willing and qualified to wear a respirator.
Special Needs/Skills
Must be HazMat certified or willing to be trained.
Team player work ethic.
Ability to work independently.
Good verbal and written communications.
Basic computer skills and aptitude to improve.
Aptitude to understand technical concepts.
Ability to lift up to 55 pounds without assistance.
Ability and willingness to work weekends and swing shifts.
Ability to work on your feet, walking and standing, for extended periods of time.
Must be medically qualified to wear a respirator.
Ability and willingness to work in outdoor weather conditions.
Ability to perform arithmetic operations quickly and accurately.
Possess good hand-eye coordination.
