What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Supervisor position at BAKER BOY, INC?
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Supervises and trains team leaders in the coordination of activities on the production line.
- Oversees respective production lines and provides coaching to team members for growth within the organization.
- Ensures the production schedule, quality, and safety standards are maintained at company levels.
- Maximizes labor efficiencies while adhering to proper company policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Leads, through team leaders, all team members engaged in manufacturing products (i.e. mixing, processing, handling, proofing, baking, frying, and packaging of all food products).
- Provides hands-on leadership to ensure profitable growth through improved operational efficiencies and that adequate resources and supplies are used efficiently and conservatively.
- Monitors quality control and compliance functions and utilizes appropriate resources, including Quality Assurance, Maintenance, Sanitation, Research and Development, Information Technology, etc.
- Ensures compliance with policies and procedures such as HACCP, Safety, Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and works to eliminate reoccurring violations.
- Coaches team leaders to understand and share company goals and KPIs as well as how to achieve them
- Ensures formula and process improvements are shared and implemented by all teams
- Ensures all policies, procedures, and regulations are followed to produce a safe, quality, and legal product.
- Attends to injured team members immediately, obtains medical assistance if necessary, and completes proper Workforce Safety paperwork
- Motivates others to accept and support change.
- Increases personal knowledge and information through educational opportunities.
- Participates in the evaluation process of team leaders and team members.
- Utilizes coaching tools such as Coach to Success and Performance Improvement Plans to mentor and grow team members’ knowledge within the company.
- Utilizes Microsoft Office Products and Redzone to report daily activities.
- Performs the team leader’s task in the team leader’s absence.
- Accepts work assignments from the Production Manager, Director of Manufacturing, Scheduling, and other department managers as needed.
