What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Drywall Technician position at Baker Construction, Inc.?
This position is in located in Barrow, Alaska. Relocation to Barrow is not necessary & the shift schedule will be discussed prior to employment. The company will provide airfare from Anchorage or Fairbanks to Barrow for scheduled shift & the return flight after shift. We are paying Top Dollar for Journeyman-Level Drywall Hangers/Finishers. Company provides housing during your shifts in Barrow.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction and drywall installation
- Strong skills in construction estimating
- Proficient in blueprint reading and schematics
- Knowledge of plastering, carpentry, and trim carpentry
- Familiarity with construction plumbing and water damage restoration
- Ability to work effectively on construction sites and manage tasks efficiently
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications.
- Perform drywall installation and finishing tasks, ensuring high-quality workmanship.
- Conduct construction estimating to assess project costs and materials needed.
- Collaborate with team members on-site to ensure timely project completion.
- Execute plastering, trim carpentry, and stucco work as required.
- Address water damage restoration needs and maintain a safe construction environment.

Pay: From $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 60 per week
