Summary

The Director of Quality provides technical support, manages quality control (QC) processes, ensures compliance with standards, oversees QC staffing, and drives continuous improvement initiatives across the Mid-Atlantic Region and beyond. This role is key to maintaining Baker's high-quality standards and supporting project teams through proactive planning, audits, and training.

Roles and Responsibilities

The Director of Quality will perform the following duties in a safe, productive, and effective manner:

• Provides preconstruction, operational and regional support
• Manages regional QA/QC program standards
• Manages QC startup process and QC inspector team
• Performs monthly project audits and check -ins
• Manages pour card process regionally
• Manages/Works with project teams for QC-related situations
• Performs quality-related training support
• Develops best practices
• Develops and update OPS report library
• Participates in training and certifications
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering, scientific, or construction-related discipline and at least 15 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Strong technical knowledge of construction practices and quality management processes
• Demonstrated experience managing quality control programs, audits, and technical troubleshooting
• Experience in USACE, wastewater, industrial, and other specialty projects preferred
• Knowledge of BIM processes and electronic pour card systems
• Experience reading and understanding design drawings
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• PE license preferred
