The Senior Product Designer at Baker Hill is a key leadership role responsible for driving user-centered product development and ensuring that our digital products deliver a seamless, intuitive, and engaging experience. Reporting directly to the Chief Design Officer, this role will work closely with cross-functional teams—including Product, Design, Development, Sales, and Customer Success—to align business objectives with customer needs.
The ideal candidate will have 10 years of experience in product management with a deep understanding of user experience, digital product strategy, and cross-platform usability. This individual will champion UX best practices while balancing customer requirements, technical feasibility, and business goals.
Product Strategy & Vision
- Define and execute a user-centric product strategy that aligns with Baker Hill’s brand, business objectives, and market positioning.
- Own the end-to-end product experience, ensuring that user needs and pain points drive decision-making.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to refine the product roadmap based on data-driven insights and user research.
- Identify and implement best practices for mobile and responsive design, ensuring consistency and accessibility across all platforms.
User Experience & Design Integration
- Partner with UX/UI designers to create frictionless, engaging user experiences that enhance usability and drive product adoption.
- Conduct and oversee user research, usability testing, and customer feedback loops to validate design decisions and improve product interaction.
- Advocate for ADA-compliant and accessible design standards, ensuring an inclusive experience for all users.
- Work closely with cross-functional partners (Sales, Marketing, Implementations and Development, identifying dependencies, and managing the flow of information to all groups
- Extensive experience in providing feedback on system demos, validating the direction of development and ensuring the solution meets business requirements.
- Can work with stakeholders/teams to identify and remove roadblocks that hinder progress, leveraging their influence to resolve issues requiring higher-level intervention.
- Assisting in creating ROI analysis on for enhancements, and new products, to prioritize investment of R&D resources
- Guide the development of a design system and product tooling that enhances consistency and scalability across the platform.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with engineering teams to translate design concepts into technically feasible, high-quality product features.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Sales to align product messaging, branding, and go-to-market strategies.
- Ensure that Customer Success and Support teams have the necessary resources, training, and materials to assist users effectively.
Performance Measurement & Continuous Improvement
- Leverage data analytics, A/B testing, and behavioral insights to track user engagement, feature adoption, and overall product success.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by iterating on product features based on user feedback and market trends.
- Stay ahead of emerging UX/UI trends, tools, and methodologies, integrating them into Baker Hill’s product development lifecycle.
- 10 years of experience in product management, with a focus on UX, digital products, or SaaS platforms.
- Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and delivering successful, user-centric products.
- Strong portfolio or case studies showcasing expertise in UX-driven product development.
- Experience with product analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Hotjar) and user testing methodologies.
- Familiarity with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD, and an understanding of front-end development principles.
- Experience in the fintech or B2B SaaS industry is a plus but not required.
EDUCATION: Bachelors degree required in Design or related field
