The Manager - Supplier Quality Engineer shall be based at our Huerth site and will have the following responsibilities:
- Acting as focal point for supplier quality related activities for the supplier base reporting of the Baker Hughes Digital Solutions, Waygate Technologies, UT Sub Business Unit, Huerth and Nove Mesto sites.
- Executing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and define Corrective Actions (CA) in case of escaping defects to avoid re-occurrences.
- Providing technical guidance to suppliers to ensure product/process compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, Waygate quality requirements and customer flow down requirements.
- Providing Quality Engineering expertise and leadership to the supplier qualification process and the continuous improvement programs through the implementation of procedures, analysis, the planning and execution of surveillance audits, and a rigorous management of action plans.
- Reporting key KPI data such as supplier non conformities, costs of quality, corrective and preventive actions closure, root cause analysis.
- Performing supplier audits, highlights relevant findings and its closure and drives supplier deviation requests.
- Executing supplier quality activities including issues resolution (SCAR), supplier qualifications (incl. use of ESQM tool), process control and quality assurance of purchased materials.
- Performing First piece qualifications for new parts based on Product Coding initiative and document closure in relevant tools, ie ESQM. Involve detailed MPP and ITP documentation through collaboration with our suppliers.
- Monitoring and reporting Supplier Cost of Quality (CoQ) data and drive CoQ recovery from suppliers.
- Working collaboratively with other quality teams and coordinate actions with the Waygate site quality teams.
- Facilitating regular supplier reviews and meetings to discuss quality performance and improvements.
- Developing and implementing supplier quality training program to ensure continuous improvement and compliance.
- Supporting new product development activities by ensuring supplier quality requirements are met during the development phase.
- Participating in the Material Review Board (MRB) on a daily basis to address and resolve supplier-related non-conformance and quality issues.
- Developing regular redesign of processes due to changing circumstances or management needs.

To be successful in this role you will need to have:
- Quality Engineering with at least 5 years of experience
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Proven experience in supplier audits
- Effective problem-solving abilities
- Ability to cope with multiple complex situations on a daily basis
- Ability to read technical drawings/documentation
- Fluent language skills in English and German, knowledge at least of one Slavic language would be welcomed
- Availability to travel approximately 25-30% of the time (Europe only)
- Hold a valid driving license

- Highly self-motivated, results/metrics driven with demonstrated influencing skills
- Knowledge of quality tools (ESQM) and statistics analysis in ISO9001 QMS requirements and applications preferably in Oil&Gas/Energy Industry/Automotive/Aerospace business
- Proven experience in Engineering with an Electronics/Machining/Fabrication background
- Lead Auditor qualified through a recognized accreditation body
- Fluent language skills in English of Slovak or another Slavic language would be welcome
- Experience in coaching and leading people
