Essential Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of the Inventory leader may include the following as well as other items required to execute the role,
- Management of Safety Stock levels on purchased materials
- Management of Excess and Obsolescence processes
- Collaboration with sourcing on Vendor Managed Inventory
- Part Life Cycle Management
- Management of Re-order Point process
- Slow Moving Inventory management
- Fulfillment protection through close collaboration with Planning, Purchasing, and Sourcing teams
- "Right Size" inventory management to protect fulfillment
- Supplier forecast process
- Minimum Order Quantity management
- Cycle Count process management including ABC classification and count process implementation/monitoring
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a supply chain related field, or equivalent experience (5 years’ experience)
- Intermediate knowledge of ERP systems to gather data and execute plans
- Ability to work with and influence stakeholders
- Strategic thinking and tactical execution with a sense of urgency
- Strong ability to work with large data sets to facilitate critical thinking and form plans of action
- Systems thinking approach to create robust solutions
Desired Characteristics: Not required but additional preferred elements
- APICS CPIM or CSCP Certification
- Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge
