Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Yoga and/or Tai Chi Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of yoga/tai chi principles and practices, with the ability to create a welcoming and supportive environment for students of all levels. This role involves leading classes, educating participants on techniques, and promoting overall wellness through physical fitness.
Duties
- Conduct engaging and effective yoga classes tailored to various skill levels, ensuring all participants feel included and motivated.
- Educate students on proper techniques, alignment, and breathing practices to enhance their yoga/tai chi experience.
- Develop and implement class programs that incorporate elements of fitness, including aspects of physiology knowledge and program design.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for all classes, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Foster a positive community atmosphere by encouraging student participation and providing constructive feedback.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with industry trends and enhance teaching skills.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Yoga and/or Tai Chi Instructor from a recognized organization is required.
- Previous experience in group fitness instruction or personal training is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to educate and motivate individuals in a group setting.
- A passion for health, wellness, and helping others achieve their fitness goals is essential.
