Summary
Baker Furniture is looking for a "Spring Up/8 Way Hand Tie Technician" responsible for installing spring systems in upholstered furniture frames, using the 8-way hand tie method and ensuring quality and precision in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Spring System Installation: Utilize the 8-way hand tie method to install spring systems in upholstered furniture frames.
- Quality Control: Uphold high standards by ensuring that all work is executed with precision and meets established quality criteria before proceeding to the next work area.
- Material Handling: Perform tasks such as attaching webbing and burlap to furniture components, installing no-sag springs, and managing polypropylene materials. Attach metal bands to frames according to design styles and desired seat firmness. Transport frames to the workstation and position them on the work table, lift, or bucks.
- Tool Usage: Proficiently operate tools such as staple guns, mallets, hammers, and staple pullers.
- Follow Specifications: Apply seating platforms, strings, webbing, edge roll, and other materials in accordance with quality and product specifications.
- Efficient Work: Execute tasks efficiently within a fast-paced production environment. Maintain an organized work area and materials for frames to promote a safe and efficient work environment.
REQUIREMENTS
- 2 years experience in similar field
- Excellent communication with clients, associates, and fellow Leaders
- Ability to work independently

- Effectively manage multiple projects and complete tasks in a timely manner

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $21.97 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
