BASIC FUNCTION
Apply nail trim to furniture by using the nail gun and by hand driving. Ability to bullion, tape, fringe, and skirts necessary for role.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Place unit on lift or buck
- Do a general inspection – make sure piece is ready for nail trim
- Read ticket - get correct nails and put them in the nail hopper
- Start corners and straight line by hand for straight starter point
- Adjust staple line ↑↓ so nails will cover them
- Adjust nails – sometime the gun will kick or get jammed causing nails to be uneven. If nails are uneven use a hammer and a flathead screwdriver to make them straight
- Clean nail hopper and nail gun
- Keep area clean
- Places finished unit to the side for cell assembler to move to the next location.
- Exercises care and follows the proper safety procedures to prevent injuries to themselves and their co-workers.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
High School graduate: 6 months to a year furniture experience required- including skirts, nail trim and brass; detail oriented is a must.
