Hours: Monday - Friday 6:30am-3:00pm; Overtime may be mandatory on business needs. Monday-Friday additional 3 hours at start of shift 3:30am-6:30am, occasional Saturday 5am:11am
Position Summary
The Mazak Palletech Machinist sets up and operates CNC machines to produce parts that meet blueprint specifications. This role requires precision, technical skills, and a strong focus on safety and quality standards.
Essential Functions
- Load and unload fixtures
- Debur parts to meet quality requirements.
- Rotate inserts and change tools when needed.
- Perform routine machine maintenance (oils, coolant).
- Adjust programs and offsets; troubleshoot as necessary.
- Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, thread gauges, etc.
- Operate Palletech systems and Mazak controls.
- Set up new jobs and edit programs.
- Read and interpret CMM reports.
- Repair and rework parts as needed.
- Follow production schedules and prioritize tasks.
- Comply with 5S, ISO/quality, and safety procedures.
- Pay close attention to detail and focus on results.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Experience:
- At least 1 year of Palletech machining experience.
Skills:
- Proficient with hand tools and mechanical tasks.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Strong verbal communication and teamwork skills.
- Solid math skills for accurate measurements.
- Experience with CNC machine operations (drilling, grinding, milling).
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and mechanical drawings.
- Translate instructions into CNC commands.
- Problem-solving skills for identifying and fixing production issues.
Work Environment
This position is in a manufacturing setting with exposure to machinery and requires strict adherence to safety procedures. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, perform metric to inch conversions.
