MATERIAL HANDLING SUPERVISOR (Working Supervisor)

Shift: 1st 

Hours: Monday-Friday    6:30 am - 3 pm Varies with workload

The Working Material Handling Supervisor oversees warehouse operations, ensuring efficient order filling, stocking, and shipping. This role involves managing inventory accuracy, directing a team, and performing hands-on tasks in materials management, order fulfillment, and distribution. The position combines supervisory and technical responsibilities to maintain smooth operations within the supply chain, logistics, or manufacturing environments.

Essential Functions:

• Management/Supervisory: Train and support staff, manage employee performance, resolve issues, and oversee team operations. Maintain records and manage manpower levels.
• Shipping and Receiving: Ensure timely receipt, handling, and storage of materials, manage production supply flow, and organize shipments to customers.
• Safety/5S: Ensure workplace safety and organization, following 5S methodology for cleanliness and efficient flow. Address safety concerns and accidents promptly.
• Other Duties: Follow company policies, conduct training, manage quality standards, resolve problems, and handle unexpected events. Adhere to ISO procedures. Any other duties assigned.

Qualifications:

• Supervisory experience in warehouse settings and inventory management.
• Strong teamwork, attention to detail, and multitasking skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (preferably Epicor).
• Experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift, push, or pull 50–100 lbs, stand, walk, and operate equipment.
• Exposure to harsh weather and noisy environments.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

• Strong understanding of manufacturing, material handling processes, and relevant business software.
• Ability to work well under pressure and time constraints.
