Deli Associate - Country Corners Markets
Deli associate will work in the deli primarily but may have cashier duties to fulfill in a shift. A deli associate provides food service to the customers of Country Corners Markets. The following are the main duties and physical requirements of a deli clerk but are not limited to:
Duties
- Greet and assist all customers in a pleasant and professional manner.
- Take customer orders at the counter and by phone.
- Stock and rotate inventory in dry storage, freezer and cooler area.
- Perform daily cleaning duties for the kitchen.
- Maintain all ServSafe and Department of Health standards.
- Quality control checks – food storage, food temping and labeling.
- Maintain and follow Country Corners Market recipes.
- Clean and wipe down counters on a regular basis.
- Clean all areas of stores when needed or requested.
- Make coffee and fill roller grill.
- Stock cups, lids, condiments, napkins.
- Empty and dispose of trash when needed.
- Maintain store stock on floor, cooler, deli.
- Assist all customers with questions, merchandise and fueling.
- Collect and maintain cash for your shift.
- Count change back to customers.
- Provide receipts to customers if requested.
- Follow all safety policies while on duty.
Physical Requirements
- Standing and walking for up to 8 hours in a day.
- Squatting, bending multiple times in a day.
- Lifting or carrying freight up to 25lbs.
- Push and pulling freight up to 25lbs.
