Job Description
Baker Property Solutions, Inc. is currently hiring a part-time Staging Assistant to help the team in styling properties.
Baker Property Solutions, Inc is an independent contractor working for the Allen Tate Real Estate, LLC brand performing Residential Real Estate Sales for buyers and sellers in North Carolina (Charlotte-Metro area).
This part-time position requires a detail-oriented person who likes to get in and get a job done. Yes, we have a lot of fun, but we also work hard and ask a lot of our small team. Stagers move a lot of furnishings, so you must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. on a consistent basis. This position is design oriented, but often very physical as you will be packing accessories, hanging art, and walking quite a bit during prep and installation days. We expect someone who is punctual, detail focused, likes to problem solve, and brings their creative juices with them every day. Being a team player is also vital. Sometimes you may be asked to handle something outside the "norm”, and we expect you to excel at the task. Must have reliable transportation to run errands and move staging items.
Duties Include:
- Support all phases of staging preparation and project design coordination for multiple, concurrently running residential projects
- Install staging items & furniture
- Assist on-site staging appointments for initial house walkthroughs/design meetings
- Pack accessories, artwork, lamps, bedding, and greenery/tchotchkes for stagings
- Work closely with the Team Lead to ensure staging installs and removals meet deadlines
- Assist team in loading and unloading utility van
- Make sure properties are left clean and locked up when complete
- Restock/organize furnishings when they arrive back in the warehouse
- Track furniture pieces to ensure project inventory is up to date
- Meet & oversee movers, contractors, or vendors at jobs
- Manage inventory checklist and enforce quantity control of furniture and decorative accents
- Hang art & mirrors, shower curtains, make bedding, fold towels, run errands for staging jobs such as shopping for accessories & furniture
- Design graphics Before/After graphics to showcase staging projects (Canva skills desired)
- Gather Social Media content for posting on our Instagram/Facebook/etc.
- Clean staging warehouse
- Complete minor repairs to staging items (sewing and/or furniture repair skills desired, but not required)
- General real estate errands such as installing signs & lockboxes
If this sounds like a job that you would enjoy, send your resume and a quick note as to why you think you would excel in this position, as well as any portfolio pictures of work done (professional work or rooms of your personal house accepted). Potential candidates will then be contacted to schedule an interview.
