Job Summary:

Baker's Body Center is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Paint Technician to join our team in Bedford, PA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing, painting, and finishing vehicle surfaces to meet our high standards of quality. You will play a crucial role in restoring vehicles to their original appearance, ensuring customer satisfaction.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in auto body repair.
  • Proficiency in both auto body repair and refinish skills preferred.
  • State inspection license in Pennsylvania (preferred, assistance provided post-hire).

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting, including sanding, masking, and priming.
  • Mix and apply paint to match vehicle manufacturer specifications and color codes.
  • Apply clear coat and other finishing materials to achieve a flawless finish.
  • Perform color matching and blending to ensure seamless repairs.
  • Maintain and clean painting equipment and work area.
  • Inspect finished work for quality and accuracy, making necessary adjustments.
  • Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Maintain accurate records of materials used and time spent on each job.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Passion for automotive repair and restoration.
  • Proven experience as a Paint Technician in a collision or body shop environment.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive painting techniques and materials.
  • Proficiency in color matching and blending.
  • Ability to use and maintain painting equipment, including spray guns and paint mixing systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
  • Formal training or certifications in automotive painting is a plus.
  • Ability to fabricate parts and components for various applications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM (No weekends or nights)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.40 per hour
