Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide advice and counsel on all aspects of employment-related matters, including hiring and termination issues, discrimination and retaliation, leaves of absence, reasonable accommodations, wage and hour issues, restrictive covenants, independent contractor issues, statutory employee issues, and employee litigation.
- Keep informed regarding changes in employment laws, trends, and best practices in order to provide practical advice to stakeholders on any revisions/updates to related policies and employment practices.
- Review, interpret, and draft company policies and procedures.
- Partner with outside counsel on employment litigation, reviewing pleadings, developing strategy, facilitating the gathering of information (documents, interviews); making recommendations at key stages in the process.
- Develop professional credibility and relationships with internal and external stakeholders as well as manage relationships with outside counsel.
Successful candidates will have:
- Require a Juris Doctor degree, admission to a state bar, and 7 years’ experience in employment law, preferably in a combination of large law firm experience and in-house experience.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential for this role, as well as a practical, business forward mindset.
- Demonstrated skills in the areas of time management, communication, interpersonal skills, relationship building, collaboration, and problem solving.
- Strong leadership, project management, organizational and analytical skills, initiative, adaptability.
- Excellent oral and written communication and customer service skills, including the ability to professionally communicate with a wide variety of individuals, and respond to inquiries in a timely, professional manner.
- Ability to juggle and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work well both independently and as a member of a team.
- Microsoft Suite skills
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship preferred.
The compensation range for this role is $150,000 to $240,000. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
Salary : $150,000 - $240,000
